A busy night of league and cup action lies ahead for the local ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League teams this evening (Tuesday).

Having been without a game at the weekend, Wellingborough Town return to Premier Division action when they take on unbeaten AFC Kempston Rovers at the Dog & Duck.

Desborough Town will be aiming to bounce back from Saturday’s 4-0 home defeat to Northampton Spencer at the weekend when they make the trip to Sileby Rangers, who currently sit third from bottom in the table.

Rothwell Corinthians picked up their first away league win of the season on Saturday as Ryan Goodband’s late goal earned a 1-0 success at Peterborough Northern Star.

And Shaun Sparrow’s team will be hoping to take that form into the UCL Knockout Cup as they host Division One high-fliers Oakham United in a preliminary round clash.
