Two local clubs will be hoping to get back into action in a ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Division One derby tonight (Tuesday).
All the games involving north Northamptonshire teams were wiped out again last weekend.
But Rushden & Higham will be aiming to be back on the pitch this evening when they are are due to host Rothwell Corinthians.
Aidy Mann’s Lankies currently sit in eighth place in the league table while Shaun Sparrow’s Corinthians are 18th but could move up a place with victory at Hayden Road.
Corinthians’ reserve team, meanwhile, now know they will take on Whitworth Reserves in the final of the NFA Lower Junior Cup after the Flourmen’s second string won 4-2 at Wollaston Victoria at the weekend. The date and venue for the final are yet to be confirmed.
