AFC Rushden & Diamonds will aim to move into the top three of the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division tonight (Tuesday).

A combination of a victory over Newport Pagnell at the Dog & Duck and other results going in their favour could see Mark Starmer’s men go third as they seek a seventh win in a row following a 4-1 verdict against Long Buckby at the weekend.

A win would also see Diamonds, who have a big FA Vase third-round clash coming up at the weekend, move to within 10 points of record-breaking runaway leaders Spalding United.

There is also a big night ahead for Stewarts & Lloyds as they head to rock-bottom Harborough Town in an important clash at the other end of the table.

S&L will be looking to build on a 1-1 draw with Holbeach United on Saturday as they finally ended a seven-match goal drought.

Elsewhere, Whitworth – 5-2 winners at Woodford United in Division One at the weekend – make the tough trip to Premier Division high-fliers Deeping Rangers in second round of the UCL Knockout Cup.
