Whitworth maintained their fine form of late with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Bourne Town at London Road.

The Flourmen moved up to sixth place in the ChromaSport & Trophues United Counties League Division One as they put the game to bed in the opening period.

Cavell Jarvis put them in front before Remy Brittain and a Kev Elger own-goal made it 3-0 at the break.

And Brittain wrapped up the victory when he completed the scoring with 10 minutes to go.

Raunds Town lost ground on leaders Lutterworth Athletic as they were held to a 0-0 draw in a local derby at Rothwell Corinthians.

Lutterworth, meanwhile, beat Thrapston Town 3-0 thanks to goals from Adam Laywood, Jared Pickering and Dom Ivens.

Rushden & Higham United lost out to a late goal as Northampton Spencer sealed a 3-2 success at Hayden Road.

Jory Mann’s penalty gave the Lankies an early lead but they were pegged back by Paul Pickering’s goal before the break.

Luke Stone gave Spencer the lead but Tyler Merries looked to have earned the hosts a point when he equalised. However, the visitors won it thanks to Luke Bartley’s goal two minutes from full-time.

Irchester United’s struggles in the league continued as they went down 5-2 at Woodford United.

Ben Foster and Joe Henderson put the hosts 2-0 up before Mitch Blande pulled a goal back.

But the hosts were 4-1 up at half-time thanks to Paul Beevor’s brace.

Blande pulled another goal back for the Romans but their misery was completed by Tommy Waldock late on.

Stewarts & Lloyds and Burton Park Wanderers occupy the bottom two places after they both slipped to heavy defeats.

S&L lost 3-0 at high-flying Peterborough Sports with Ali Nyang, Dan Fountain and Gary Gibbs doing the damage.

Burton, meanwhile, were beaten 5-0 at Blackstones, who had Adam Scotcher (2), Giuliano Staffieri, Rob Dunn and Christian Anderson on target.
