Another busy night of action lies ahead for the local ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League teams this evening (Tuesday).

Wellingborough Town will be looking to bounce back from their narrow defeat at Yaxley at the weekend when they head to FA Cup heroes Daventry Town in their re-arranged NFA Hillier Senior Cup quarter-final.

AFC Rushden & Diamonds returned to winning ways in the UCL Premier Division with a fine 4-2 verdict over high-flying Cogenhoe United on Saturday.

And Mark Starmer’s men will move into seventh place if they can claim another victory at Long Buckby tonight.

There is also plenty of Division One action and Raunds Town, 1-0 winners over Woodford United at the weekend, could move into the top five if they are successful against Olney Town at Kiln Park.

Thrapston Town picked up their best result of the season on Saturday with a 1-0 victory at Lutterworth Athletic and they have the chance to build on that against Buckingham Town at Chancery Lane.

Elsewhere, Burton Park Wanderers will be hoping to put their 8-0 mauling at leaders Oadby Town behind them as they take on second-placed Harrowby United at Latimer Park while Irchester United are also looking to bounce back from a weekend defeat as they entertain Lutterworth.

Rothwell Corinthians are on a fine run at present as their 1-1 draw at Olney on Saturday made it seven league matches without defeat under Shaun Sparrow. They will be looking to extend that run when they take on Northampton Spencer at Seargents Lawn.

It continues to be a season for struggle for Whitworth and they also have home advantage tonight as they look to halt a five-match losing streak against ON Chenecks.
