Wellingborough Town picked up their first points of the season in the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League as a second-half fightback earned them a 4-2 success at local rivals Desborough Town.

The Doughboys started well and took the lead through Michael Cirelli inside the first minute.

But the hosts hit back and turned the game around quickly as Aaron Davies levelled before Aidan Bradshaw gave them a 2-1 advantage at the break.

However, three goals in the space of 20 minutes earned new Doughboys joint-bosses Steve Herring and Joe Smyth their first win since taking charge.

Gokhan Ulker equalised before Scott Liebscher put them in front just three minutes later.

And Ulker had the final say as he completed the scoring on 65 minutes.
