AFC Rushden & Diamonds will get the chance to move four points clear at the top of the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division tonight (Tuesday).

Diamonds saw their lead at the summit cut to one at the weekend after they were held to a 0-0 draw by Yaxley while Holbeach United ran out 5-1 winners at Harborough Town.

But Andy Peaks’ men play their game in hand this evening, although it is a tricky test as they head to fifth-placed Cogenhoe United, who won 1-0 at Eynesbury at the weekend.

Eynesbury are the visitors to the Dog & Duck this evening as Wellingborough Town aim to build on their excellent second-half fightback, which saw them turn a 3-0 deficit into a 3-3 draw at Deeping Rangers.

Desborough Town turn their attention to the UCL Knockout Cup as they chase a third successive win at Premier Division rivals Peterborough Northern Star.

Ar Tarn claimed a dramatic 2-1 success over Harrowby United on Saturday thanks to Michael Boyle-Chong’s stoppage-time winner.

It’s also a busy midweek programme in Division One with the standout fixture being Raunds Town’s clash with Northampton Spencer at Kiln Park.

The Shopmates returned to winning ways against Thrapston Town last Friday while Spencer sit in fifth place after a 2-1 success at Burton Park Wanderers on Saturday.

Burton, meanwhile, make the short trip to Corby for a bottom-of-the-table clash with Stewarts & Lloyds, who are still searching for their first point of the campaign.

There’s another local derby at Hayden Road where Rushden & Higham, who stunned high-fliers Peterborough Sports with a 1-0 win at the weekend, take on Irchester United.

Thrapston make the trip to Peterborough tonight while third-placed Whitworth are also on the road at Olney Town.

Rothwell Corinthians head to to Blackstones tomorrow (Wednesday) night.
