AFC Rushden & Diamonds will be looking to get their ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division campaign back on track this evening (Tuesday) when they head to Newport Pagnell.

Diamonds slipped to their first league defeat of the season at the weekend as their 100 per cent start was ended in a 2-1 defeat at high-flying Yaxley on Saturday.

It could prove to be another tricky test for Andy Peaks’ men tonight, however, as they travel to take on a Newport side who were 7-1 winners over struggling Long Buckby at the weekend.

There is also a big game at Alfred Street as Irchester United face Rothwell Corinthians in a local derby.

Corinthians go into the game on the back of an excellent 5-0 success over another of their local rivals Rushden & Higham United on Saturday while Irchester suffered their sixth defeat in seven outings when they were beaten 2-0 at Potton United.
