Ar Tarn take on Premier Division rivals Wisbech Town in the semi-finals of the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Knockout Cup at the Waterworks Field tomorrow (Saturday).

Desborough are enjoying one of their best seasons for a number of years and currently sit in fourth place in the league table while they also reached the last four of the NFA Hillier Senior Cup.

They go into the weekend on the back of two defeats in a row, the latest being at champions-elect Peterborough Sports last weekend.

But Bradshaw is hoping his team can move a step closer to a piece of silverware and he is hoping there will be plenty there to cheer them on.

“It’s all about not having any regrets,” the Desborough boss said.

“The players must make sure they go back into the dressing-room with no regrets. If we are going to get beaten, let’s get beaten by giving it everything we have got and if we win then brilliant.

“For the season this group has had, they deserve to go to a cup final and we will do all we can to make it happen.

“We have done as much as possible to publicise the game and it would be great to get a big crowd in.

“Our attendances have been up, we don’t get big gates but people have been coming along and I have been doing what I can to get the local community involved.

“It’s a big occasion for us and the local community should be part of it.”

Despite the 2-0 loss, Bradshaw was pleased with what he saw against Sports last week but he knows his team are in for another tough test against a Wisbech team who have won their last four league matches.

“It’s a hard game and we are going into it off the back of a couple of defeats,” he added.

“But I was pleased last weekend because we were competitive and we didn’t take the chances we created.

“Sports are obviously a good side and they took their opportunities and that was the difference.”

The winners of tomorrow’s tie will face Yaxley in the final on a date to be confirmed.
