Desborough Town ensured manager Chris Bradshaw enjoyed a happy birthday as they cruised to a 4-0 victory over rock-bottom Huntingdon Town in the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division.

Jason Turner gave Ar Tarn an early lead at the Waterworks Field.

That advantage was doubled when Marvin Hill headed home Jake Bettles’ cross just before the half-hour and the game was over when Hill quickly added his second.

John Dean completed the scoring with six minutes to go but Hill missed a chance to complete his hat-trick when he failed to convert a late spot-kick.

The weather decimated the league programme in Division One but it was a good day for Stewarts & Lloyds as they finally returned to action with a 2-1 success at Rushden & Higham United.

Jory Mann gave the Lankies a half-time lead at Hayden Road but a fine fightback after the break sent the Foundrymen back into the top three.

Dany Reid levelled the scores on the hour and Michael Byrne hit the winner five minute later.

Thrapston Town fought back from 2-0 down to earn a 2-2 draw at Bugbrooke.

Ian Walker’s team looked to be heading for defeat as goals from Jamie Hall and Jimmy Moore had the hosts in control after 57 minutes.

However, Kaine Clinton pulled one back and the same player earned a share of the points with eight minutes remaining.
