Rothwell Corinthians produced one of the biggest results in the club’s history as they booked a place in the second round of the Buildbase FA Vase with a 2-1 success at Waltham Forest.

Corinthians were one of four ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League sides to seal a spot in tomorrow’s draw as two Callum Plowright penalties wrapped up a fine victory.

Desborough Town’s 14-match unbeaten run was finally ended as they exited the competition after a 5-2 defeat at Wembley, Dan White and Will Arnold grabbing the consolations.

And there was disappointment for Thrapston Town who went down 7-3 to Leverstock Green at Chancery Lane. Ian Walker’s side had Chris Hope (2) and Dodzi Agbenu on target.

Wellingborough Town returned to winning ways in the UCL Premier Division.

Goals from Deven Ellwood, Albert Akinremi and Adam Randall completed a 3-0 victory at Sleaford Town.

Rushden & Higham United suffered a home defeat in UCL Division One as a second-half goal from Dom Ivens gave Lutterworth Athletic a 1-0 win at Hayden Road.

And the season of struggle for bottom side Stewarts & Lloyds continued as they went down 2-1 to Woodford United at Occupation Road.

Jake Buckingham was on target for the Foundrymen but Adil Hussain and Jordan Featherstone won it for the visitors.

Whitworth stormed into the third round of the NFA Junior Cup as they destroyed Northants Combination outfit Corby S&L Khalsa 9-0.

Jack Dyson led the way with four, Dean Hall added a brace and Matt Judge, Matt Thornber and Ryan Archer were also on target.

Raunds Town needed two own-goals to see of another Combination side, Wollaston Victoria, 2-1 at Kiln Park but Irchester United went out as they lost 4-0 to Netherton United.
