Corinthians were given the perfect start when Jordan Henson put them in front after just 40 seconds.

And the win, which ensured Corinthians have now made their best-ever start to a league season, was completed with four minutes remaining when Henson converted from the penalty spot after Kalon Peniasko had been brought down in the area.

It was also a good day for Wellingborough Town who made it two wins from three league matches with a 2-1 success at Oadby Town.

The Doughboys led 1-0 at the break and then grabbed a late winner after Oadby had equalised.

Rushden & Higham United picked up their second win of the season as they beat Stewarts & Lloyds, who remain without a point, 2-0 at Hayden Road.

Both goals came in the first half with Ryan Kalla and Sam Fowler on target for the Lankies.

Whitworth also won for the second time this campaign as they edged out Buckingham Town 3-2 at London Road.

Jamie White scored a late equaliser as Raunds Town shared a 2-2 draw with Melton Town at Kiln Park.

Having fallen behind early on, the Shopmates levelled through Nick Harrison but found themselves 2-1 down with 21 minutes to go.

However, White struck with four minutes remaining to earn them a point.

Elsewhere, it was a day to forget for Irchester United as they suffered a 4-0 defeat at Olney Town.
