Craig Adams is back at Wellingborough Town and ready to take charge of his first game since returning tonight (Tuesday).

Adams, who enjoyed a successful stint as Doughboys manager before leaving for Bedford Town in March last year, has been appointed as interim boss at the Dog & Duck after Jamie Wright resigned following the 2-1 defeat at Boston Town in the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League on Saturday.

Adams had been assistant-manager to Gary Mills at Rugby Town earlier in this campaign but he is now back at Wellingborough where he will aim to turn the fortunes around after a poor start.

His first order of business is an NFA Hillier Senior Cup first-round clash at UCL Premier Division rivals Desborough Town this evening.

Rothwell Corinthians also begin their Hillier Cup campaign tonight when they take on Peterborough Northern Star at Sergeants Lawn.

There is also action in the UCL tonight with Stewarts & Lloyds aiming to extend their lead at the top of Division One when they head to Bourne Town.

In the Knockout Cup, meanwhile, Burton Park Wanderers face a tough task at Peterborough Sports while Irchester United travel to Premier Division side Oadby Town.

Raunds Town take on another top-flight side in the form of Yaxley while Rushden & Higham United face Buckingham Town at Hayden Road.
