Rushden & Higham manager Aidy Mann is confident that his side can make a serious go of getting their hands on the NFA Junior Cup.
The Lankies travel to fellow UCL Division One outfit Burton Park Wanderers this weekend for a third round tie in which the visitors will start as favourites.
While Burton have been in poor form in recent weeks, the opposite is true of their opponents and Mann fancies a strong cup run.
He said: “There are a few teams left in it who will fancy their chances and we’re one of them.
“We’re still in the League Cup, we’re doing well in the league and we’re three games from the final of this one.
“We’re in good form and are flying at the moment.”
As for Burton, their manager Kevin Fox wants his charges to put their league woes to one side for the day.
He said: “We’ve played well in the cup - I don’t know why that’s the case - and that will need to be the same again.
“Rushden are doing well at the minute and we need to turn up on the day.”
Elsewhere in the competition, Thrapston travel to Peterborough to face ICA Sports and Rothwell Corinthians host Northants Combination outfit Milton.
In the UCL Premier Division, Wellingborough Town, who have lost their past five games in the league, travel to Blackstones, Desborough host Boston Town and Irchester are at home to fifth-place Deeping.
There are three sides in action in Division One with Raunds hosting Bourne Town, AFC Rushden & Diamonds welcoming Wootton Blue Cross and Whitworth travelling to ON Chenecks.
