The centre-half opened the scoring with a low strike at Steel Park. But the Steelmen then had to fight back from 2-1 and 3-2 down to earn a point as they continue their bid for survival in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division.

They are back on home soil again this weekend when they entertain Barwell.

And, after his first experience of playing at Steel Park, Tank was left with mixed feelings.

“For a defender to score is a bonus but we we conceded three, which was disappointing,” he said.

“To get a draw though is something to build on and hopefully it’s a step to move on.

“From the week before (the 1-0 loss at Workington) to that game, it was like a different team really. It’s building block for us.

“It’s silly errors. We conceded three goals but we could have prevented it.

“But with the lads we have brought in, it’s all positive. They are a good bunch.

“I am sure the manager (Gary Mills) will still try to bring one or two in and we will keep going.

“The games are coming thick and fast but we just want to keep playing and keep getting those points on the board.”
