Chris Plummer believes Corby Town’s home clash with Solihull Moors on Wednesday night is already in doubt.
The Steelmen, like so many, were without a game this weekend as their game against Blue Square Bet North promotion chasers Guiseley was postponed due to the pitch at Steel Park being frozen as well as being covered in a blanket of snow.
Plummer and his squad trained indoors on Saturday morning and he insists he will keep things “ticking over” and ensure his team are fully prepared for whenever they are next in action.
“We knew in midweek that Saturday’s game was going to be off,” the Corby boss said.
“The pitch is frozen and now it is covered in snow. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like there is going to be any relenting in the weather so our game on Wednesday is already doubtful.
“It is frustrating but you can’t control what the weather does.
“We can only concentrate on what we are doing and we trained indoors on Wednesday and again on Saturday.
“We will continue to find places to train while the weather is like this and we will keep things ticking over.
“The next two games are big ones for us. Solihull are close to us in the table and so are Vauxhall Motors, who we visit next weekend.
“It is important we stay focused and ensure we are ready for whenever we get back out there.”
