Corby Town have boosted their ranks by signing midfielder Greg Mills on a month’s loan from Skrill North side Barrow.
Mills will go straight into the Steelmen squad for tomorrow’s (Wednesday) home clash with Hitchin Town in the Calor League Premier Division.
Mills started his career at Derby County and went on to have spells at AFC Telford United, Worcester City and Boston United.
And Corby joint-manager Andrew Wilson said: “We are delighted to have secured Greg’s services for the next month.
“He brings a wealth of experience of playing at a higher level and can play in a couple of positions, which gives us extra strength in depth.
“I first saw Greg last season while I was at Histon and he stood out then. The situation with Greg is similar to Aman Verma’s as they are both players that Tommy (fellow joint-boss Wright) and I had identified that we would like to bring in when we first got the job.
“Sometimes you have to be resilient when the first couple of approaches are answered with a no.
“We are very pleased that they efforts that we have made to bring both players to the club have now finally paid off.
“The fans are already enjoying Verma’s ability and they will certainly appreciate what Greg has to offer.”
