The NFA Hillier Senior Cup final between Kettering Town and AFC Rushden & Diamonds has been rescheduled for Thursday, May 5.
The clash had been due to take place at Northampton Town’s Sixfields Stadium on Wednesday but has now been put back due to the Poppies’ increasing fixture congestion.
Kettering’s Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division clash with Bideford today (Saturday) has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch and they are now set to play league matches on Monday, Thursday and Saturday next week as they bid to reach the play-offs.
Diamonds confirmed the news that the final, which will be the first-ever meeting between the two clubs in their current guises, will now be held after the completion of the Southern League play-offs as Andy Peaks’ team also bid for an extended season in Division One Central.
The final will kick-off at 7.30pm and Diamonds have confirmed that all tickets purchased so far will be valid, although anyone who can no longer attend the game is entitled to a full refund.
