Four-goal hero Claudiu Hoban insists he will continue to do all he can to help Corby Town push on towards the Calor League Premier Division play-off places.
The 22-year-old stole the headlines on Tuesday night when he scored all of the Steelmen’s goals in their 4-2 success at strugglers Bedford Town.
That effort came after he made an impressive impact on his debut in last weekend’s 3-2 victory over Truro City at Steel Park, having joined on a dual registration from Skrill North side Histon at the end of last week.
The Steelmen now sit in eighth place ahead of this weekend’s trip to Poole Town, who sit just above them in seventh.
Both sides are 11 points off the the play-off places, although both have games in hand on Bideford who current sit in fifth place.
And Hoban believes there is still a chance of Corby getting into the top-five and is hoping even more goals will come for him during his stint with the club.
“I am pleased to be playing games and I have been wanting to score a few goals for a long time now,” Hoban said.
“It was one of those nights on Tuesday when everything went for me.
“I have scored four goals in one game at youth level before but that was the first time it has happened to me in a senior game.
“I am already really enjoying it here. I see this as a chance to prove myself.
“I will do all I can to help the team try to win every game, I want us to win all the matches while I am here and hopefully make it into the play-offs.
“I think the initial plan was for me to come here for a month but you never know what will happen. It has been very enjoyable so far.
“We have another important game this weekend against a good team but our aim is to win and go above them.
“We are in a bit of good form at he moment and we want to keep it going.”
