Corby Town made a welcome return to winning ways in the Calor League Premier Division as they claimed a 3-1 success at bottom club Bashley.
The Steelmen were boosted by the returns of joint-manager Tommy Wright and central defender Paul Malone after they served one-match bans in the 1-0 defeat at Weymouth at the weekend.
Courtney Herbert was handed his first start since signing from Cogenhoe United but Nathan Stanton missed out due to a dead leg.
The Steelmen took the lead on 21 minutes when Malone marked his return to the side with the opening goal.
And the advantage was doubled just three minutes later when Nathan Rooney converted from the penalty spot.
Aman Verma hit a post but it was 3-0 before the break when Malone grabbed his second of the game.
Bashley pulled a goal back 12 minutes into the second when Manny Soetan scored after a goalmouth scramble.
But there were few other problems for the Steelmen as they held on to secure a welcome win.
They are due to return to action against Redditch United at Steel Park on Saturday.
