Corby Town earned themselves some respite from their troubles with a welcome 1-0 victory at Biggleswade.

Former Kettering Town man Jorrin John, with his first goal in a Corby shirt, was the matchwinner for the visitors with his 28th minute strike proving to be the difference between the two sides at the Carlsberg Stadium.

The three points collected leaves the Steelmen in ninth place in the Calor League Premier Division with a tally of 57 from their 39 outings.

They have five games remaining, the first of which is at Burnham next weekend.

Steelmen: Walker, Kennedy, Brown, Carruthers, Thomas, McGowan, John, Ingram (sub, May), Wright, Mills, Ives. Subs not used: Barton, Carpenter, Wilson.
