Sam Ives and Tom McGowan will not be re-signing for Corby Town for next season.
Steelmen boss Tommy Wright confirmed that both midfielders are set to join clubs from a higher level as the preparations for the new Calor League Premier Division campaign continue.
Ives leaves Steel Park having made over 100 appearances for the club and he scored eight times in the last campaign, including what was voted the goal of the season by Corby fans against Arlesey Town.
McGowan featured 43 times during last season but both players are now set to move on.
Boss Wright said: “Sam Ives will not be returning to the club due to both parties agreeing that it was best for him to move on this summer.
“He has the opportunity to play at a higher level, so he leaves with our blessing.
“Tom McGowan was offered improved terms to stay, but he is also in talks with a club that plays in the division above ours, and I fully expect him to go.
“I am currently focusing on a number of potential targets and having some clarity around their futures has created some room for me to bring in my own players.
“We would like to wish them both all the best in their careers and congratulate them for making so many appearances for Corby Town Football Club.
“They are both genuinely nice lads with good attitudes, so I hope it works out for them.”
