Andy Peaks is hoping AFC Rushden & Diamonds’ injury list begins to clear sooner rather than later.
Diamonds claimed a 1-1 draw with second-placed Shaw Lane at the Dog & Duck as they returned to Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Division One South action at the weekend.
They are straight into another home clash tomorrow (Tuesday) evening when they face another high-flying team in the form of fourth-placed Romulus.
And Peaks has hinted he may have to look into the transfer window as the treatment room remains busy.
Ross Oulton, Jake Newman and Joe Curtis missed Saturday’s draw, although Newman did score for the club’s under-21 side on Saturday morning.
But Peaks revealed both Sam Brown and Jack Ashton are struggling with knocks ahead of tomorrow’s clash, which is followed an Emirates FA Cup third qualifying round match at Hendon on Saturday.
“We’ll have Richard Bunting back from suspension tomorrow but Ross Oulton is struggling with a knee and Sam Brown took a knock at the weekend,” Peaks said.
“Jack is also battling through with his hamstring at the moment.
“Jake played for the under-21s on Saturday and scored, which he will be pleased about so hopefully he’s on track.
“But Joe Curtis is still a way off so it’s tough at the moment.
“It’s not great for us but it’s a good sign if we have so many players missing yet we are still able to pick up points against decent teams.
“But we need to get people back on the pitch as soon as possible and it may also mean I have to look around and bring one or two in if I can.”
