Waterlogged goalmouths were the reason Corby Town’s scheduled Blue Square North trip to Harrogate Town was postponed.
A 9.15am pitch inspection was carried out at the CNG Stadium on Saturday but the pitch was deemed to be unplayable and the game was cancelled before the visitors left for the game.
Corby secretary Gerry Lucas said: “They knew we were going to be leaving at 10 o’clock and they let me know at 9.30.
“They had some work done to the pitch in the summer but it has obviously gone wrong.
“They’ve already had a league game postponed earlier in the season and last Tuesday’s FA Cup replay didn’t go ahead so who knows what will happen when the weather gets really bad.”
No date has been set for the rearranged fixture.
The Steelmen return to action on Wednesday evening when they entertain Gloucester City at Steel Park.
