Corby Town have signed former Tamworth striker Nick Wright on a short-term deal.
The frontman featured in the Steelmen’s pre-season friendlies against FC Porton, PSV Eindhoven and Leicester City during the summer and will now be part of the squad for tomorrow’s (Saturday) Vanarama National League North opener at Curzon Ashton.
The forward has made over 200 appearances in the top tier of non-League football after spells at Tamworth and Kidderminster Harriers.
And Corby boss Tommy Wright has now challenged him to make an impact at Steel Park.
“Nick has signed on a short term, non-contract deal and will be available for tomorrow’s trip to Curzon Ashton,” the Steelmen manager said.
“He is a very good footballer and I know exactly what he is capable of from his time at Tamworth and Kidderminster Harriers. We have had a chat and I have challenged him to recreate that form in a Corby Town shirt.
“A fully fit Nick Wright is an asset to any club at this level.
“I have every faith in his ability and believe that he can prove himself here.”
