Corby Town’s Blue Square Bet North clash at FC Halifax Town tonight has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

The game was called off after a lunchtime inspection of the surface at the Shay.

The Steelmen have confirmed a new date for the game with the play-off chasers will be in place soon after the Shaymen’s request for the match to be played on Thursday this week was turned down due to player and staff unavailability at the Corby end.

Chris Plummer’s side are due to be back in action against another side chasing a top-five finish when they host Harrogate Town at Steel Park on Saturday.

In the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League, AFC Rushden & Diamonds’ top-of-the-table clash with Eynesbury Rovers in Division One has also been called off due to a waterlogged pitch at the Dog & Duck.
