Boss Andy Peaks revealed he was expecting Dolman to train ahead of Saturday’s Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division clash with Market Drayton Town following a calf injury.

Dolman and defensive partner Jack Ashton have both been missing since they were injured in the 1-1 draw at Rugby Town.

But Peaks said: “There are good signs for both Liam and Jack.

“Liam was due to train this week and I am hoping he will be available for Saturday.

“Jack’s knee is having a lot more movement in his knee now and we have been getting him to do some light stuff this week so I am hopeful that he isn’t too far away.

“It’s great for us that they are on their way back and it will just give the squad that stronger look.”

Ross Oulton remains as Diamonds’ only long-term absentee.

Having started the season in fine form, the midfielder suffered a knee injury which required an operation.

And while he is hopeful of having Oulton back sometime around Christmas, Peaks insists they won’t rush him.

“Ross had a cartilage operation, which probably ended up being a bigger one than we expected.

“He is getting a lot of his own treatment but he has been to all of our games since he went in for it and he is right behind the lads.

“The one thing we won’t do with him is rush anything. He was fantastic for us before the injury and we have missed him.

“There may be a chance of us seeing him sometime around Christmas but there is no way we will force the issue. We want him at 100 per cent before we bring him back into it.”
