Andy Peaks is set to make moves in the transfer market this week.
AFC Rushden & Diamonds were dumped out of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday as their injury-plagued squad were beaten 3-0 at Hendon in the third qualifying round.
Peaks was without the likes of Jack Ashton, Lewis Leslie, Ross Oulton, Sam Brown, Jon Stevenson, Joe Curtis and Kyal McNulty for the clash.
The Diamonds boss felt the huge injury list finally took its toll on his team as they were well beaten by the Ryman League Premier Division outfit.
Diamonds have a free week as they prepare for more knockout action on Saturday when they host Histon in the preliminary round of the FA Trophy.
And Peaks looks set to do some squad maintenance in the build-up to the tie.
“I think that’s the main positive for us, the fact we have got a free week,” the Diamonds boss said.
“It gives us a chance to assess things and see how everyone is.
“Sam Brown will be back and I am sure Kyal McNulty will be fit as well so that will be two to come straight back in.
“Hopefully we will get some others back as well.
“But I will be looking to bring a couple of bodies in because the squad is being tested to its absolute limit.
“I expect more than what the team gave at the weekend and we have to do what we can to give the fit players some help.”
