Kettering Town maintained their 100 per cent start to the Southern League Division One Central season as a quick start set them up for a 3-0 win at Egham Town.
The Poppies found themselves 2-0 up inside the first seven minutes as Andy Gooding and Dubi Ogbonna continued their impressive early form in front of goal.
And Josh Moreman opened his account for the campaign with a fine strike two minutes into the second half to complete the victory.
The Poppies took the lead after four minutes when Moreman was brought down in the area. Gooding saw his penalty saved but he found the net with the rebound.
And the lead was doubled just three minutes later when Ogbonna finished things off after a goalmouth scramble.
Egham came back into it in the remainder of the first half but the Poppies held firm and all-but finished the contest early in the second period when Moreman hammered home a half-volley with the aid of the inside of the post.
The proved to be the end of the scoring as Kettering kept up their strong start ahead of Tuesday night’s trip to Leighton Town.
