Kettering Town's Easter Monday match with Bedworth United has been called off

Kettering Town’s home clash with Bedworth United and AFC Rushden & Diamonds’ match at Arlesey Town today (Monday) have been postponed due to waterlogged pitches.

The arrival of Storm Katie throughout last night and into this morning resulted in the Poppies’ Latimer Park pitch being unplayable.

The Poppies have confirmed they will be re-arranging the game as soon as possible.

Kettering extended their unbeaten run to seven games with a 1-0 win over Slough Town on Saturday, which moved them to within one point of the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division play-off places.

Marcus Law’s team’s next game is currently scheduled to be a home clash with fellow play-off contenders Hitchin Town on Saturday.

Diamonds’ Southern League Division One Central match at Arlesey, meanwhile, was called off just after 10am.

Andy Peaks’ team halted a run of four successive defeats at the weekend when they drew 0-0 with Northwood.

They are due to be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Leighton Town.
