Kettering Town have signed Northampton Town striker Lewis Wilson on loan until January 2.

The frontman will go straight into the Poppies’ squad for tomorrow’s (Sunday) Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division clash with Bedworth United, which is being played at Corby Town’s Steel Park stadium (3pm).

Cobblers manager Aidy Boothroyd said: “We have been looking to get Lewis out on loan so we can get him some football.

“I think he’s been really unfortunate in that because of the injuries we’ve had he’s played in every position apart from his own.

“When he did play up front last season he scored and he’s at a stage now where he needs to get some games in.”

Kettering have also signed Football CV scholar Ade Adeniyi and Rudy Misambo, who played for the Poppies’ under-21 team last season.

But central defender Adam Mitter, who has captained the club in the last three matches, has left because of difficulties in travelling from his home in Liverpool.
