Kettering Town are ready to launch a new initiative in the local community.

The Poppies are aiming to engage with the diverse communities of north Northamptonshire in a bid to increase participation in leisure and fitness under a new umbrella to be known as KTFC Community.

A launch fun event will be held at the club’s first home league game of the new Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division campaign during which a newly-formed community team will showcase what they have on offer for the coming season.

The community team are also planning to launch a programme of multi-sports to support those with a disability, also, for the launch of the new KTFC Disabled Supporters Club.

A number of initiatives have already planned including futsal plus (for those aged between eight and 16), walking football, a junior membership scheme, matchday experiences and holiday clubs as well as much more.

In a statement released by the club, they said: “One club, one community is the ambition as we launch a programme of sports, leisure activities, lifestyle, social events, holiday clubs, boot camps and more.

“We are seeking to make matchdays a fun, family experience with something for everyone, involving lots of activities, entertainment and of course, the excitement of supporting the first team.”

The club are now seeking volunteers and sponsors to help the newly-formed community team and anyone interested should contact Mike on 07804 893011.
