Kettering Town claimed their fourth win in five Calor League Division One Central outings with a 3-1 victory at Chalfont St Peter.

The win moves Dean Thomas’ side up to 12th in the table with 18 points from their 12 games.

Goals from Louis Hamilton, Will Muzvimbiri and Kieren Joseph proved decisive for the visitors who backed up last weekend’s 2-0 defeat of Chertsey in style.

The Poppies, who gave a debut to new signing Tommy Hull, took the lead in the 15th minute through Hamilton and they maintained thier advantage to the interval.

The hosts drew level just before the hour mark when Scott Fitzgerald found the target but the visitors were back in fron six minutes later when Muzvimbiri netted.

And as Chalfont pushed for an equaliser in injury time, a counter-attack saw Jospeh secure the three points.

Next up for the Poppies is a clash with Egham Town at Latimer Park next Saturday.

Poppies: Horton, Thorpe, Kinniburgh, Gooding, Eze, Hull, Hamilton, Joseph, Newman (sub Joseph, 68), Muzvimbiri, Bukasa (sub Dent, 83).
