Kettering Town’s home clash with Forest Green Rovers this afternoon has been called off because of a frozen pitch.
The south side of the pitch was still solid when it was inspected by referee Michael Bull at around 1pm and he made a straightforward decision to postpone the fixture.
Poppies caretaker-boss Mark Cooper said: “The referee was concerned about the goalmouth in front of the terrace and the south side of the pitch.
“It was probably the right decision. The pitch was soft in some parts but too hard in a large area.”
