Kettering Town’s Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division clash at Slough Town this afternoon (Saturday) has been postponed.

There had been no concerns with the pitch at Beaconsfield SYCOB’s Holloways Park ground where Slough play this morning.

However, further heavy rain over lunchtime had left the pitch saturated and news of the postponement was confirmed at 1.30pm with Poppies players and fans either already at the stadium or on their way.

The Poppies are scheduled to be back in action on Tuesday night when Dorchester Town are the visitors to Latimer Park.

But, with Burton Park Wanderers’ UCL Division One derby with Rushden & Higham United being called off there today, the midweek clash will also be in doubt.

Elsewhere in the UCL, Rothwell Corinthians’ home clash with Wisbech Town and Wellingborough Town’s match with Sileby Rangers both fell victim to the weather, as did Thrapston Town’s encounter with Buckingham Town in Division One.
