Marcus Law will “mix things up” when Kettering Town head to Stratford Town in the first round of the Southern League’s Red Insure Cup tomorrow (Tuesday) night.
The Poppies go into the clash on the back of a disappointing late defeat in the Premier Division at the weekend as they conceded two goals in the last 13 minutes when going down 2-1 at Hitchin Town.
Another busy week now awaits with the trip to their league rivals rivals tomorrow being quickly followed by an FA Trophy first qualifying round tie at Division One Central outfit St Ives Town on Friday night (8pm).
And Law is ready to give some “frustrated” players a chance to stake their claim.
“We will mix things up for tomorrow,” he said.
“There are some frustrated lads who feel they should be playing and they will get their chance.
“They will come into the side and they will have the opportunity to stake their claim.
“It’s a game that will pose a few questions because we are up against another Premier Division side and we will go there with the aim of winning.
“We want to have a look at a few players and then that will lead us into Friday and the FA Trophy, which is a competition we would like to do well in.”
The Poppies have already played at Stratford in the league this season as they suffered a 2-1 loss at the start of last month.
