Ed Palmer has followed Ben Gerring out of Kettering Town.
The Poppies midfielder confirmed his departure on social networking site twitter today.
Central defender Gerring spoke out to the Northamptonshire Telegraph this week about his need to leave Nene Park due to the growing financial problems that have resulted in the Kettering squad not receiving their full wages this month.
Now Palmer, who has scored two goals this season after signing from Torquay United over the summer, has followed suit.
He said on twitter: “All the best to everyone at #ktfc hope everything can be sorted for players and fans! On to the next step for me.”
It has also been confirmed this week that assistant-manager Dean Greygoose has left the club while majority shareholder Imraan Ladak revealed in today’s Northamptonshire Telegraph that a new potential investor has come forward and that discussions are ongoing.
The Poppies are due to take on Ryman League Premier Division side Concord Rangers at Nene Park in the first qualifying round of the FA Carlsberg Trophy on Saturday.
