Marcus Law is keen to ensure Kettering Town don’t “throw away” their return to winning ways as they prepare for two home matches this week.
The Poppies bounced back from last Tuesday’s loss at Cirencester Town with a 1-0 victory at St Neots Town on Saturday.
Rene Howe grabbed the only goal of the game in the first half to keep Kettering on a decent run of form with just one defeat in their last six league matches.
They now sit just three points outside the play-off places in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division.
And Law is now determined to ensure his players don’t waste the opportunity in front of them.
Dorchester Town, who are just below the Poppies in ninth place, are the visitors to Latimer Park tomorrow (Tuesday) night with another home clash against strugglers Frome Town following on at the weekend.
Law said: “We have become difficult to beat recently and that’s a good thing.
“The fact we have responded well to Tuesday’s defeat is great and we have to make sure we don’t throw it away tomorrow night and next Saturday.
“We have two home fixtures that we need to be looking to win so we can keep ourselves in the mix as we head towards the new year.”
