Kettering Town maintained their excellent start to the season with a convincing 5-0 win against 10-man AFC Hayes on Saturday afternoon.
The Poppies strengthened their grip on top spot and boosted their goal difference by putting bottom club Hayes to the sword on their own ground.
Andrew Hall opened the scoring when he jinked through the Hayes defence and slotted home in the 24th minute.
Dubi Ogbonna added a second after 30 minutes and any chance of a Hayes comeback was ended when Steven Kinninburgh was hacked down and the home side had a man sent off.
Two second half goals from Andy Gooding and a late fifth from James Clifton secured the victory.
