Rob Gould has resigned as manager of Wellingborough Town.

Gould, who has been in charge of the United Counties League Premier Division outfit for the past three years, has left his position with immediate effect following a poor start to the season.

The Doughboys have suffered four straight defeats in the league, the latest of which was a 3-0 reverse to Boston Town on Saturday at the Dog & Duck.

Craig Adams has been placed in temporary charge, starting with the trip to Desborough tonight (Tuesday), until a permanent replacement is appointed.
