Nick Young and Chris Caswell will undergo fitness tests ahead of S&L Corby’s FA Vase trip to Dereham.
Boss Daren Young is hoping to be able to add them to the squad for what promises to be a difficult tie.
The same opposition got the better of S&L to the tune of 3-1 in the FA Cup back in August prior to Young’s return to the club and he doesn’t expect an easy ride.
He said: “They’re doing well and I understand that they’re unbeaten this season.
“We know it will be a tough game and that we’ll have to play well but we are capable of getting a result.”
The game comes on the back of a 3-1 defeat of Peterborough Northern Star in the UCL Premier Division on Tuesday evening, which saw 11 players unavailable for various reasons and in addition to (Nick) Young and Caswell, Young will welcome back Alan Davies, Ed Matthews, Michael Duroe and David Sheridan.
Also in Vase action are Desborough - 2-1 victore against Cogenhoe in midweek - who travel to Swaffham and AFC Rushden & Diamonds who make the trip to Yaxley.
In the league, Wellingborough Town, who are sitting at the foot of the table, face fellow strugglers Harborough Town at the Dog & Duck.
The two sides have mustered just one win apiece so far this campaign and are desperately in need of points.
Irchester will face Peterborough Northern Star for the second time in as many weekends when they make the trip to Cambridgeshire.
The Romans went down 2-1 at Alfred Street last Saturday and also suffered a 7-0 drubbing against St Ives in midweek.
In Division One, Rothwell Corinthians entertain Wootton Blue Cross, Burton Park Wanderers host Thrapston, Raunds are at home to Potton and Rushden & Higham travel to Billing Road to face ON Chenecks.
