Wellingborough Town moved into the top five of the Chromasport & Trophies UCL Premier Division with a 1-0 defeat of S&L Corby at the Dog & Duck.

S&L had got the better of the Doughboys in the reciprocal fixture the previous week but a Jason Turner goal 11 minutes from time proved decisive for Craig Adams’ side.

Desborough had nothing to show for their efforts against Cogenhoe as they were beaten 2-0 at the S6 Stadium.

Josh Urquhart and Jack Bowen were on target for the visitors who earned their 10th win of the season.

AFC Rushden & Diamonds had to settle for a point from theitr trip to Wisbech.

Callum Stocks opened the scoring for the home side and after Fazel Koriya had squandered the chance to level things up by missing a penalty, Alfie Taylor equalised before the interval to ensure a share of the points.

In Division One, Irchester made it six games unbeaten as they won 2-1 at Olney.

Ryan Lovell and Craig Jackson scored for the Romans with Sam O’Neill netting Olney’s consolation.

Rothwell Corinthins’ fine run of form continued as they eased past bottom markers Wodford United by an emphatic 6-2 margin.

Chris Clarke led the way with a double and he was joined on the scoresheet by Ben Johnson, Sam Johnson, Matt Redding and Tom Scarratt.

Elsewhere, Luke Cummins scored a brace for Thrapton but it was to no avail as they were easily beaten 5-2 by Eynesbury.
