Steve Walker wants his Desborough side to put together a good FA Vase run.

Ar Tarn make the short trip down the A14 to Huntingdon on Saturday with the incentive of a home tie against Irchester if they come out on top.

And Walker wants to make the most of a draw that could propve to be favourable both on and off the pitch.

He said: “The draw is there to take advantage of and we’re no different from any other club at this level in that there is some money involved the further you get.”

Also in the FA Vase first qualifying round, Rothwell Corinthians travel to Godmanchester Rovers, Thrapston are on the road at March Town and Wellingborough Twon host Bugbrooke St Michaels.

In the ChromaSport & Trophies UCL Premier Division, S&L Corby have a tricky afternoon in prospect as they visit unbeaten Holbeach.

Irchester, who drew 1-1 with S&L in their last outing, face a trip to the unknown as they travel to league newcomers Quorn.

In Division One, Rushden & Higham United will be looking to register their first victory of the campaign when they visit Wootton Blue Cross.

Whitworth entertain Burton Park Wanderers at London Road, AFC Rushden & Diamonds visit Harrowby and Raunds are on the road at Potton.
