Rothwell Corinthians have been promoted to the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division.
Shaun Sparrow’s team’s remarkable run of form in the second half of the season was finally rewarded when they secured the second promotion place behind champions Northampton Spencer with a 3-0 win over Irchester United at Sergeants Lawn.
Chris Clarke broke the deadlock just past the half-hour and second-half goals from Ryan Goodband and Dom Page completed the victory.
It means Corinthians return to the Premier Division after a three-year absence.
Cory James scored an eight-minute hat-trick as Thrapston Town rounded off their season with a 5-1 success at Buckingham Town.
The hosts actually led 1-0 at the break thanks to Ash Wadhams’ goal but Thrapston stormed back in the second period.
Kaine Clinton levelled and Jedd Whiteman made it 2-1 with 18 minutes to go.
Then James took over as he struck three times to complete an impressive win.
Stewarts & Lloyds’ miserable campaign ended with an 8-0 loss at Potton United.
It means the Foundrymen end their season with 37 defeats from 38 matches.
Premier Division champions AFC Rushden & Diamonds completed their magnificent season with a 3-3 draw against Cogenhoe United at the Dog & Duck.
Tom Lorraine headed the hosts in front in the opening period but Cogenhoe fought back after the break and Lewis Leslie levelled before former Diamond Alfie Taylor put them 2-1 up.
Matt Gearing made it 2-2 with an 83rd-minute penalty before Richard Bunting was sent off and then Dean Lukeman made it 3-2 to the Cooks soon after.
However, Gearing preserved Diamonds’ unbeaten home record when he fired home the rebound after another penalty had been saved.
Diamonds round off their campaign a week on Monday when they take on Potton United in the Knockout Cup final at Yaxley.
