There is a big night of action ahead in both the Premier Division and Division One in the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League this evening (Tuesday).

In the top flight, Wellingborough Town will be finally looking to continue their recent good run when they head to Boston Town.

Craig Adams’ Doughboys were left frustrated again at the weekend as their local derby clash at Stewarts & Lloyds was postponed. Boston, meanwhile, were comfortable 4-0 winners over bottom side Irchester United.

AFC Rushden & Diamonds could move to second place in Division One as they look to continue their push for promotion against Buckingham Town at the Dog & Duck.

There shouldn’t be any confidence issues in Mark Starmer’s squad after a Jake Newman hat-trick inspired them to a 5-0 home success over Wootton Blue Cross at the weekend. A victory will see Diamonds leapfrog Oadby Town, who are currently second.

Elsewhere, NFA Junior Cup finalists Rushden & Higham United return to league action when they take on Eynesbury Rovers at Hayden Road.

Aidy Mann’s side reached the showpiece at the weekend thanks to a 2-0 victory over local rivals Rothwell Corinthians.

Bottom side Burton Park Wanderers are also in action as they head to Harrowby United. Kevin Fox’s side remain rooted to the foot of the table after a 2-1 defeat at Raunds Town on Saturday.

The Shopmates, meanwhile, play again tomorrow (Wednesday) night as they make the trip to Bugbrooke.
