Northamptonshire have announced young pace bowler Olly Stone has signed one-year extension to his deal with the club.
It means the Norfolk-born seamer is now contracted to stay at Wantage Road until the end of the 2015 season.
It has been a good few months for Stone who has just returned from captaining the England Under-19s side in South Africa.
On that trip he registered the best ever bowling figures for England in a youth Test with his figures 11-79.
Stone said: “I was delighted to hear the good news after coming back from South Africa, where I enjoyed a level of success with ball in hand.
“It’s nice to be rewarded with this extension, which hopefully goes to show that I’m making progress and improving my game well.”
County head coach David Ripley added: “This is good reward, not just for his tour, but from the moment he turned professional.
“His attitude to the game is outstanding for one so young and we see him becoming a big part of the club’s future ambitions in all formats of the game.”
