David Sales has signed a new one-year deal with Northamptonshire.
The former club captain, who was out of contract at the end of this season, has put pen to paper to keep him at the County Ground for another summer.
There had been some doubt over the future of Sales, who made his debut for the County in 1994, but he has now agreed terms to stay on.
Sales said: “I am obviously delighted to continue my association with Northants Cricket. With David Ripley at the helm, and the squad we have here at the County Ground, I believe we can push on to bigger and better things next season and into the future.”
Head coach David Ripley added, “It’s great that David has shown great form and fitness over the 2nd half of the season. David is a quality senior professional in the dressing-room who can contribute in all forms of the game.”
