Peterborough will open the defence of their Northants Cricket League Premier Division title against Rushton at Bretton Gate on Saturday, April 26.

The fixture mirrors the start of the 2013 campaign which ended with Lewis Bruce’s side winning their second straight top flight honour.

Newly promoted Rushden begin life back in the elite with the visit of Brixworth to Short Stocks while Burton Latimer entertain Horton House.

Finedon Dolben get under way by entertaining Stony Stratford and Wollaston are on the road at Old Northamptonians.

The other fixture sees Oundle travel to Northampton Saints.

In Division One, Rothwell, who came up as champions from the third tier, host local rivals Desborough while Isham, who are back in the division after an absence of one season, host Finedon 2nd.

Wellingborough will seek to make amends for their relegation last September and they start at home against ONs 2nd.

Elsewhere, Geddington entertain Old Wellingburians, Weekley & Warkton travel to Loddington and Irthlingboroughhost Peterborough 2nd.
