Rushton need three victories from their final three Hevey Building Supplies NCL Premier Division fixtures.That is the simple equation facing Jon Carpeneter’s side as they attempt to win their first ever top flight prize.

Last weekend’s defeat to Oundle has left the villagers 41 points adrift of Peterborough who took full advantage by easing past bottom side Burton Latimer.

Brixworth are their opponents this weekend while Peterborough entertain third place Old Northamptonians knowing that two wins from three will give them a third consecutive title.

At the other end of the table, Burton, who are 38 points behind Stony Stratford and realistically have to win at least two in the final three weeks, are on the road at mid-table Finedon Dolben while Stony make the trip to Rushden.

The other two games of the round see Wollaston host Oundle and Northampton Saints at home to Horton House.

In Division One, Geddington will continue their pursuit of leaders Finedon Dolden 2nd with a trip Rothwell while the pacesetters go to third place Old Northamptonians 2nd.

Irthlingborough, 62 points from safety, host Wellingborough Town and Old Wellingburians, who occupy the second relegation spot, visit Isham.

Loddington & Mawsley entertain Desborough and Weekley & Warkton welcome Peterborough 2nd.
