Northants star Duckett delivers brilliant ton in England Lions success

Northants star Ben Duckett blasted a stunning 163 not out to help the England Lions race past Pakistan A at Cheltenham on Tuesday.

Duckett, batting at three, registered his total from just 104 balls as the Lions got home inside 37 overs.

Joe Clarke, with 35, was the next highest scoring England batsman, but the innings was all about Duckett.

He had earlier been presented with his Lions cap before England took to the field.

They bowled Pakistan out for 244 in 46 overs, with Surrey’s Tom Curran taking four wickets and Durham’s Mark Wood grabbing three.

And then Duckett took over to steer his country to a comprehensive success in the first game of the Triangular A Team Series, which also includes Sri Lanka A.
